Sunday Services

Every sunday we have church services at the school house at Eyjólfsstadir at 11 am.
Normal meeting starts with a story time for the younger ones and family worship time. God word is preached and a time of prayer. After each meeting we usually meet in the dining hall and have a light lunch or some refreshments. Everybody is of course welcome to attend the services and enjoy the fellowship.

As from winter 2012 we've not been able to have services every Sunday. Please contact us by mail or phone for information about services.

Family Week

In June every year there is a week long church family meeting at Eyjólfsstadir. This annual event has been going on for two decades now, filling every room in the guesthouse for a wonderful family time with Bible study, preaching, worship and lots of fun time inbetween.

Normal schedule is to have Bible study for young and old every morning, mix of free time and events for certain parts of the family during the day and in the evenings we have a worship service with prayer and preaching.

Youth Meetings - Visbo

In 2003 Visbo was invented. The word is made out of three Icelandic words: Work, Fun and Share (the gospel). The Youth Meeting is a 5 day event in middle of August, where young people enjoy fellowship with the emphasis on having fun, working and telling the Good news. BTh to each other and to their peers in east Iceland.

The event consist of Bible study and prayer time each morning. Work, play and outreach during the day and a vibrant worship services every night with lots of prayer and preaching from the word of God.

Labour day weekend meeting

The Labour day weekend is the biggest traveling weekend in Iceland. Most people go out of town and enjoy family time in the nature. A drive to Eyjolfsstadir gives you the chance to have fellowship in a great environment surrounded by the rugged nature of east Iceland.

Full house of happy people for 3 good days, enjoying strong Biblical teaching morning and nights and lots of free time to enjoy with the family, and maybe a worship time by the bonfire...

Bible school, conferences and more all year round

In addition to the things mentioned above, Eyjólfsstadir is dedicated in working with the local church in equipping the saints by any means the church feels called to.

As an example of what we've done in recent months: Hosted Youth with a Mission DTS seminar and outreach groups (YWAM in Iceland), a week long Bible study on Ephesians, a prayer weekend for the east of Iceland, Bible on money teaching, Christian media Conference and more.
